Do you sell props after Halloween or do you wait for next year to sell? I want to sell most of my stuff to use the money for a full size talking skeleton from Skulltronic for next year. These go quick and you have to order one now for next year. He is only making 50 for next year.
Tell me what you think a fair price would be to sell the following props all at one time as a lot.
I have listed what I paid or have into it next to each prop plus the year I got.
6 foot mummy with stand mummy $179.00- 2005
6 foot Spellcaster witch by NightHaunt Studios $440.00- 2006
2 foot fake tree stump & large cauldron w/smoke and LED lights $195.00-2005
40 foot spiderweb $65.00-2004
4foot witch on broom with pole to go on roof $49.00-2003
3 foot rubber spider $89.00 2005
Creature Crate $750.00- 2005
6 foot blowup pumpkin $79.00 2003
2 90watts strobe with lighting machine 1000watts and cables $200.00- 2005
Floating lantern prop I made $75.00-2005
Owl prop I made. Feathered owl with LCD eyes that sits above a flickering
lantern (flicker module not bulb) this makes it very realistic flame. It has a
built in sound card/speaker on the bottom that makes hooting sounds.
$175.00- 2005
Pumpkin vine door trim- 4 sides and one top piece made of foam/latex $350.00-
2006
6 foot foam body prop dressed in pirate outfit with full mask $200.00-2006
80watt minions webber glue gun never used w/300 glow glue sticks $165.00-
2005
Tree trunk speaker $100.00 2005
Misc---A second lightning machine,
large carved pumpkin w/light, 3 foot high stacked pumpkins with light, 2 pirate flags, rubber snakes, large rat, web spinner with gallon of glue, pumpkin tree lights, and a 30 feet string of 1inch orange bulbs, 10 foot spider web, crow, glow skull, and 2 small spiders and other odds and ends.
I would say I have over $2500.00 into it. Every is in good or like new condition. Please give me what you think would be a fair price to ask. Thanks for any input and have a great Halloween.

If any of my stuff disappears or gets vandalized this year I have already told my husband that I will sell it all and never set up again.

No, don't ever sell any of my props.
But, I don't build many big things. Most of the stuff I build get reused each year in the maze.

I have only sold one prop before. I am at the point that I would like just one incredible prop thay alot of props. Also I never get any sleep during Oct because I am always worried that my stuff will get stolen or trashed. With one prop I could move it in and out easy. Also would be great to have storage space in my shed again.

I never sell any of my own props, as I constantly reuse them.
BUT, I will be setting up a prop selling business come February, or thereabouts (capital's here, but tooling is the question mark)... talking skulls, talking pumpkins, talking anything else you need me to come up with. Set up in such a way that you can provide your own audio and programming platform, OR we can do it for you for an extra fee.
Look for 'Bare Bones' products by late Winter of '07.
Finally able to set up shop soon, thank goodness... been waiting a long time for this.

That's very exciting MikeC...coming from someone who loves all those complicated talking thingy-s, but has zero knowledge on how to build them, I can't wait to see what you have! Will it be a website or are you selling them in an actual storefront?
