This totally stinks. I have a high wind adverisery in affect for saturday afternoon. They say winds will reach 60 mph.
Just when I started to set-up I have to stop. Hopefully the stuff set-up already survies.

Bummer. That really sucks.

Mine is similar:
Saturday
A chance of rain in the morning...then rain with a chance of thunderstorms late in the afternoon. Rain may be heavy at times in the afternoon. Beach erosion due to splashover and rough surf possible during high tide in the afternoon. Very windy with highs in the lower 50s. Southeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph...increasing to 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph in the afternoon.
Guess I'll be putting out the concrete blocks after all (to hold down the crypt roof)
Good luck johnny933

Aw man,
I got rain all weekend here and some wind. This is the weekend I put out everything. Oh well, 24 hour setup plan goes into affect on Monday.

Ditto! My plan as well. It's a scramble but I figure I have the weekend to get everything laid out/organized, check lights, foggers etc..
Seems like a lot of effort for one day, but better than having stuff blow away or otherwise be ruined.
Come to think of it, it's been a crappy October weather wise all around. The last few years have been much milder/dryer.

We are getting gusting winds here (better than hurricanes any day) and had themlast week.
Already fixxed some stuff once, may have to do it again Monday.
Good luck Johnny.

I'm in New Hampshire and we are going to be dealing with those severe winds as well. There's a wind advisery through Sunday as well as a flood watch. My stuff actually can take the rain but the wind will destroy them.
When my hubby gets home tonight from work we're pulling up all the tombstones and storing them in the shed til Monday. Its a pain in the butt but worth the effort to protect from damage. Anything else that may blow away is also gonna be picked up and put away til Monday

Can you say "Santa Ana's" ??? Not the 60mph gusts your getting but enough to make it a bummer.

Oh yeah, I know what Santa Ana's are, I was born and raised in So Cal. I know how deadly they are, especially when some idiot decides to toss a butt out the car window.
sometimes I miss them however, I mean at least it's a warm wind.
