Like many of us, I used to wait tables in highschool and college. When I talk to other people who used to wait tables, we all have one thing in common, the server's nightmare: A really bad dream where all your tables are out of control....so on and so forth...
I've been having the same sort of panic dreams around Halloween, almost every year: It's suddenly Halloween night, and I haven't put out a single decoration! I panic, and haphazardly start putting props and lighting out, all the while TOTs are already showing up! Agghh!
Am I crazy? Has anyone else had these dreams? Do I need help? (don't we all...)![]()

LOL. It's basically the same dream I used to have when I was doing theater. It's curtain time, opening night, and I don't know my lines, can't find my costume, etc.
Must be a common sort of thing, whatever your endeavor.

That's funny, you're naked in my dreams too!
Ba Dum Bum
Seriously though, my folks were in the restaurant biz for over 25 years. If there is a foodservice nightmare out there I've probably had it. Just the other night though I had one where all my props were falling apart and I couldn't get them back together!

Ive had a few bad dreams about not being set-up.
I lived it though two years ago. I went and got married out of the country and returned halloween day. I had nothing out and was wipped out but didnt care. Soon as the tot's started coming I was like "oh S*@t", started dragging stuff out, my worst hallo to date.

I had a dream the other night that some fat guy was chasing me around trying to rape me and nobody would help. I think thats worse.

When I was a teenager I had anxiety dreams that I was trying to run away from home but no matter how hard I ran I could barely move my legs. The person chasing me would always be right there.
In college it was the typical nightmare of final exams for classes I never attended.
As an adult, my anxiety dreams are tornados. They come down out of the sky everywhere and I have no safe place to hide. I usually have these when I am under a lot of stress. I have also had a few with no clothes and no way to get home without being seen.
I would much rather that than a rape dream. That is horrible.
The worst nightmare I ever had was about my mother. She was in a car that was sinking in water. She had this horrible panicked look on her face in the rear window.
My Mom can't swim. It was really a horrible dream.
I haven't had any halloween ones.I LOVE TO PICK UP CANDY OUT OF THE LAWN. IT IS THE SIGN OF SUCCESS!

Seems every year this thread comes up...
...and every year, I have another one to add.
Just had the "Halloween's here and I've done NOTHING!!" dream a couple of nights ago...
They're not nightmarish...just frustrating...
...and I can get plenty frustrated during a regular day all on my own, thank you very much, without my brain torturing me at night with any more nonsense as well...Hell is an eternity of getting up at 4am to nothing but decaf coffee...
2009 photos and 2008 photos ...uhmmm...and what I have evolving...

Mine is never a dream but real Halloween day freak out mode!
As my own worst critic I'm never satisfied and always feel that my haunt lacks the true vision I had for it. Last year when the local TV and radio stations called (Halloween day) asking if they could broadcast from my house I was truly freaking! (I was still setting stuff up, LMAO) I was so far out from my comfort zone it made me sick! In the end it all worked out great and everyone had a great time. I think all us haunters have that "never good enough feeling" Anyway I so related to this thread.
