Thread: Need name for my pirate ship

My ship is painted black and I have a whole POC theme going, so I'm thinking the TOT will say that my ship is the Black Pearl, but I want to say something like "no, that scurvy dog "Captian" Jack Sparrow stole that name, my ship is the (dramatic pause) Black (embarressed pause) ________!"

Looking for something funny, and possibly a little "cutesy pink" sounding.

Any ideas?

Hmmmm.......Squirrel?

I was going to suggest something else, but the "Black Squirrel" really hits the nail on the head! Little, cutesy, furry, and it rhymes...

What about "Black Gorilla?"

Black...Faux Pearl.

Hmmm... A Black Squrril plush of some type, that brings up some ideas.

Plush mounted on front of ship as figure head.
"We named the Squrril Jack"
Interact with the critter using the Squrril speak that Kronk uses in Emperor's new Groove.
FCS-- flying crank squrril?
black plush squrril on a string that I can make fly across the yard.
A horde of nuts in my treasure chest instead of gold, jewels, i.e. Curse of the Black Squrril.
Instead of the dog holding the prison keys in his mouth, I can have a squrril.

Any other ideas out there?

Whoops - you posted right before me, Bauton...
2 companies - "Wildlife Artists" and Wild Republic" both do realistic Squirrell plush - Check out just about any toy or infant store for their plush line. Or - it there be a thrift store roundabout your way, they usually have a huge selection of plush.
BTW, all great ideas - you're in the right frame of mind for it!

(Of course, if you go with "The Black BunnySlippers" all the pirates would have to be wearing them...)

Chris - you read my mind! Bunny slippers was the second thought after squirrel! HA HA HA!

Let's see.

Curse of the Black Bunny Slippers.
Slippers on the pirates- as previously noted.
Slippers hanging from the mast.
Villagers being chased by rampaging Bunny Slippers.
Instead of a skull rock, a Black Bunny Slipper rock.
Fangs, blood dripping from mouth, evilly arched eyebrows?
All kinds of jokes about rabbit reproductive habits.
Possible have a Captain Kirk "Trouble with Tribbles" seen in a cave or something.

But where to find that many bunny slippers and enough time and black dye to spook them up?

A trust fund to support this project financially will now be set up at www.blackbunnyslippers.you'vegottobekidding.haunt.

Since 'Black Pearl' is itself an oxymoron, or at the very least, a rarity, follow that theme.

The "Black Dove" might follow into the Capn' Sparrow anlge as well.
