Qucik question regarding the use of photobucket. I have signed up, but being technologically challenged can someone answer me this.......... if I take photos of people and I want them to go home and access and print them on their own, do I just give them a link or do I have to link to someplace, for example this forum? I ask because we are talking photo's of people at our haunt and I don't want to hassle collecting their emails and sending them their picture. If I understand photobucket correct, I just upload the photo I took of them, give them a slip of paper with the link, and they go home and look at them or print them which ever they choose?
Thanks for the help!
Lil

You can just give them the link. They can then go directly to your pictures.

You are correct Lilly! The only thing you have to be sure of is that your Photobucket account is set to 'Public' instead of 'Private'. In private accounts you can link to individual photos but people cannot just broswe your account in gallery form. Set to public, you can just give one link ( IE: http://s20.photobucket.com/albums/b247/CastleVonStuben/
) and they can look, print, etc to their heart's content.
Hope this helps!

You guys are the best! Thank you so much for simplifing it so quickly for me. So, where do I find my link? I assume that would be the link at the top when I upload the photos? So my link is the same each time I upload photos? You are gonna just die when you read this next line.......... I am a photographer!!!! I am just going digital, or should I say just learning to love digital this year. This is technical stuff I don't have to pay attention too until something new makes me learn it.

a breakdown of a photobucket link http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v45/batfly/halloween/albertlott.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com (the site, may have something different after http:// as the site is on many servers for mass storage)
/albums (section of the site)
/v45 (subsection of site)
/batfly (my account album)
/halloween (sub folder i created in account)
/albertlott.jpg (an individual picture in my subfolder)
you can splice up the link to be only http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v45/batfly/halloween (took off the individual picture part) and it'll take you to the whole subfolder. the parts of the link are seperated by a ' / '
hope this helps"Trick or treat" is not a greeting, it's an ultimatum ~ Spats
