Thread: clash of the season figured out!

was thinking about how much i wanted to see the nightmare before christmas in 3D and decided to download the soundtrack. upon listening to the opening i realized it sounded like it was explaining what goes on in walmarts and other big chain stores. here's what it says for review:



now you've probably wondered where holidays come from
if you haven't i'd say it's time you begun
fore the holidays are the result of much fuss and hard work for the worlds that create them for us

well, you see now, quite simply that's all that they do
making one unique holiday
especially for you
but once a calamity ever so great
occured when two holidays met by mistake



i interpret this as stores trying to make the holidays meet with the christmas stuff crouching in on the halloween displays. if they had it there way there'd be a money holiday! also kinda gives nice credit to us haunters in the begining, at least i feel like i live in halloween town!

anyway, sorry if this seems pointless, was interesting to me =D

I vote for a ban on all Christmas displays until after Thanksgiving!

I read an interesting article about Christmas and why their crap is up so much earlier. They've done research (supposedly) that says people start X-mas shopping in October. Now, I truly believe this, since I live in a wintery wonderland and understand that people get their shopping done before the snow flies. Also, snowbirds probably shop early and get their presents to the family before they head south.

However, it doesn't mean people want to buy Christmas decor! Who buys ornaments in October just so they can sit around for two months?! Of course, I'd buy Halloween stuff in July if it was out...
