I know this is a little late, but I'd like to ask: What scares the sh** out of you?
Or for example, if there were a dark window in which there flashed (for a split second)a disturbing image, what would that image be?
Thanks.

it would scare me if, at night, I glanced towards a window and saw a pale, white face staring back at me.

i always thought an alien looking right at me with or looking at the knob from the other side would be FREAKY! when i'd go make late night potty runs as a kid, i was always afraid there would be an alien outside the window. i'd always have to peek to make sure there wasn't. i was scared every time to do so also! thank you unsolved mysteries!

What would scare me at night is literally the same as Mr. Sickhertz's thing.
Like if there was a thunderstorm outside and for a split second there was a huge flash of lightning and I saw a grim, angry, pale white face starin' back at me that would make me really really scared. Also whenever I go into my bathroom and the light is off I turn on the light and in the top left hand corner of the mirror I always think I see a face.

There was one time during the Summer, when I still lived at my parent's house. My bedroom was in the basement & my middle brother's room was across the way. My girlfriend & I were dating and had just said good night. It was dark out & just Midnight, when she left to go home. I watched from my door to the outside. (for her car to drive down the hill across the way) Just 20 feet way were a grove of 3 lilac bushes. As I was watching for her, I spotted a strange shadowly figure between the bushes. It didn't have any form to it but, had two red glowing eyes. It scared me so bad that I quickly drew the shade, turned off the lights & leaped into bed. Where I stayied with the covers over my head til morning.
Another time is at my current home. It's an old two story house that's over 100 years old. This also happens at night & when I'm alone in the house. I'll be on the computer with only the desk light on. All the windows & outside doors are shut & locked. It's then that I will hear footsteps above my head walking from my bedroom to the bathroom. Totally freakly!
This one happens every year about this time to me.
I build the my haunted maze, Maze of Terror. It's housed in a very large metal machine shed. Last year's maze was 1,500 sq. ft! Each time we close down for the night I go through it one more time. Just to make sure that no one is in there before locking it up. The building tension of possibly finding someone hiding waiting to do who knows what, is stressful! I put a lot of time & energy building it 40-50 hrs & another 20 plus to take down.

Any place I'm familiar with that suddenly becomes very unfamiliar.

My imagination..........................
Really I can really freak myself out. theres been times I would literly stear at a prop like a skull or face and maybe others had this happen. It would seem the face could twitch a bit or blink or whatever.
The other think that scares me a little is dolls. Its because of a childhood experience I had and since I been afraid. I'm not talking about barbie or toys. I'm talking about those life size dolls.
One day I walked by my sisters doll. of course is was sitting leaning against the wall. It was one of these old dolls I think my mom owned which when you lean the doll back the eyes would close and when you lean them forward their eyes were open. Anywho when I walked by the eyes were closed. When I came back from the other room, the doll was in the exact same place but the eyes were open. Freaked me out.

Thank you for your replies. One reason I ask, is because I plan on possibly doing a last-minute effect where I flash(on command) a light on a disturbing image/prop in the window near my front door as trick or treaters approch the door....
