Thread: Help with Dark Fairy Costume

I have Purple wings, and Purple contacts, and some latex Point Ears and that is what I have to work with so far. I need help!!!!! I don't want to be some cutsey fairy, but I can't be too scary since I have 4 little kids. Please help! I hate half hearted costumes. Any Ideas?

So you need the outfit part? Are you looking for sexy? How about gothic?

If it was for me, I would look for a lace dress that I could shred and dye black or grey if I needed to.

I am looking for more gothic than sexy! I need the costume plus I need Ideas on make up ....you know the details that make a costume spectacular rather than like every other stinking fairy running around.

I'd go with the dress idea.

Have you tried googling for "gothic costume"? If you want to buy a costume then I'd suggest a witch or vampire costume (basic black).

You could add fishnet stocking or pantyhoes with runs in them.

Can you take a photo of yourself wearing the items you have so far?
That would help for suggestions.

You could make a wand that has a pentagram instead of a star.

Do you want full make-up with cream base, etc. ? You could have a white base with gray and purple to make the features. Check out this link. Click on Gothic once you enter the site. or you could go in another direction and be disheveled. Crooked glasses, broken wand, drooped stocking on one side, bed-head, stain on the dress, etc.

look at some of the pictures there. those fairies were really good at scaring people they had a lot of energy.
