    Default Pumpkin thieves - or, Linus' patch is looking decidedly un-pumpkin-y – 10-19-2006,03:23 AM


    Last week we drove up to the Lancaster PA area to buy about a dozen pumpkins to place around our Great Pumpkin display.
    Last night someone drove up on our property and loaded them up in what I suspect was a 4 wheel off road vehicle. At least they didn't destroy the figures, but the did drive over one of the spotlights. THey took our next door neighbor's pumpkins as well...

    Mean people suck. This has happened to me before too. I haven't purchased my pumpkins yet for this reason. Also, I hide them in the garage on Devil's night. Sorry for your loss. Did you spend a lot on them? Not that it should matter.........

    Someone stole one of my pumpkins last night, too. Only one because we have the others outback until halloween. You said you drove up to lancaster do you live in philly?

    Port Deposit, MD - about 30 miles or so from Lancaster. We like to buy the pumpkins from an Amish farm near Paradise.

    IckyVicki - not real expensive, less than $30.00, but gosh darn it, it's the principle!
