I'm an elderly lady now and I have needed to 'manage' this sixth sense all of my life and sometimes it's very difficult to do.
Short answer is great_ghoul: no. there is no way to make it go away. Once you have it, you're stuck with it.

I, too, read tarot. I also have premonitions in the form of dreams, but not that often. And I can sense/see/hear a ghost/presence. I've had it all my life. I used to freak my mom out on a regular basis. My maternal grandfather had it too, only he was a much stronger psychic. I am just embracing my talent now, and trying to fine tune it. In the past, I spent alot of time "ignoring" it, which just didn't work for me.....

I also find that my first impressions about people are dead on...sometimes I WISH I would be wrong.....I guess that's just a different manifestation of the same "gift".
