Am I the only Halloweener who has not put any decor out. I am so ashamed...
(lowers head in disappointment).
I vow to do it tomorrow....

I have some stuff in the window, but nothing outdoors so far... I want to make a dummy to put outside using the duct tape method but haven't tried it yet. I'm afraid to put any of my other decorations outside!

Nookie You are not the only one who hasn’t put up any outside decorations.
I had to move in with my ill father because of an ongoing divorce with a Halloween hating spouse.
Shades of Arlo Guthrie’s Alice’s Restaurant, with all that room in the attic, basement and spare bedroom my father didn’t need to take out his rubbish for about eight years. I only finished cleaning the house two weeks ago and this weekend I am completing some much needed repairs. I have started some inside decorations for the Halloween Party but that is just a small amount of what is needed.
Perhaps I will put up some outside decorations in the next week or so."To see them running from my yard screaming full of fright
puts a joy in my heart I only get on Halloween night. "

I put some stuff out today. That's a first for me because I usually don't put anything out until the day of. It's fun to watch kids ride their bikes up and down the street the day before trying to get a glimpse of something...ANYTHING even vaguely Halloweeny. There is never even a single pumpkin until THE DAY, when suddenly, an entire graveyard filled with lights and ghouls springs up.
The next day...it's all gone without a trace.
My display has gotten so big that I can no longer do it all in one day. So I put a few 'happy' things out.

Boo Who? I love that idea....I try to "advertise" a few weeks earlier, in order to increase my TOT count. If I had a "kid busy" street, that would be awesome.

I live at the end of a looong dark deserted street in a big ol' house. It's a TOT magnet. Still, we live waaaay out in the sticks and getting 80 TOTers is A LOT!
I think the only people ticked off about my display is my one and only neighbor. Because of me, he has to buy five times the candy he would if he lived near someone 'normal.'

I have been setting up and getting things in order for about 3 weeks now and I am still behind. I use to set up on "the day" but discovered that my TOT count was much higher the earlier I set up and the more I put into it. I had a huge crowd last year but some of that was due the the developementbeing new and the realator traffic and construction trafffic, that was a big "word of mouth" help. There there was the local TV station that came by and did a story that really brough in the people.

I just put my fence up last night, and our Frankenstein monster in the woods.
I usually add a little every night from here out. Inside we have quite a bit of stuff up, though.

My yard is essentially bare as well. I won't start putting up the outdoor stuff (fence/columns) until next week, with the majority of it going up Halloween day.I'm still working on finishing up some big projects so haven't had a lot of time but I'm getting there.
