I am curious how many TOTs you get in your area. When I first started in 1993 I got a grand total of 35 TOTs. My yard haunt has grown over the years and last year we had over 400 TOTs. This number does not include parents or people who just drive or walk past. It is great to see our numbers continue to climb in our small town. We warned our neighbors that we were "into Halloween" but they never realized just how much we were really into it.

I realize the weather also has a great deal in determining our numbers. We live in Minnesota so the weather can change in a minute.

We have even added a food collection area to our haunt. Last year we took in over 350 pounds of food for the local food shelf. We hope to surpass that number this year.

Let me know how many TOTs you get in your area.

It gets less and less every year.

We're here in Northern NJ, 20 miles "dead" west of NYC. When we started 14 years ago, we got 14 TOTers. Last year we did 300 TOTers, 200 adults (many who came without children), and 1 dog. We're counting the dog because he came in costume and left with a biscuit, lol. So 501 total went through the haunt. We never advertise, and ask people not to call the papers or the news when they say they want to, because we've just about maxed out on the amount of vehicle and pedestrian traffic our block can handle. This year, we're stamping hands and only allowing people through once to help cut down on the congestion.

I gave out 500 candy bars by 7:30 and ran out. I had dozens of people come through after that. I'm planning for 700 this year.
