Thread: Is there any "Real" haunted places where you live?

maybe this thread has already been started. I dont know if I beleave in ghosts or not, havnt really seen one.
The old armary is said to be haunted here in Williston ND.

Every city has their haunted houses..I am not far from the Stanley Hotel, which was the basis for The Shinning!

I always think its funny that a hotel or restaurant is one of the places that show up on ghost programs on TV has having spirits. Ostensibly it is an advertisement for the business, and it drums up customer visitations.

I don't own a hotel or restaurant business, but if I ever do, I am going to make sure everyone knows I have a ghost. hahahaha

Then there are several places around the small towns in this area....

as you "Don't know if you believe" ..we are Sensitives in this family.

Trust me they are around....I am as sure they exist as I breathe air to survive. Seen them, heard them, felt them

my house was SUPER crazy active last night...funny thing is. I do NOT have a dog. We are taking care of my dad's dog.

Dog was goin all crazy starin things down and barking at nothin last night...late around midnight---

I told our cohabitants... can you guys save the teasin for the dog til tomorow he keeps wakin me with the barking-- HEHEHEHE

We do know one of the spirits is a little girl---she was probably playing with the dog.....

Theres a website that lets you look up your city it it lists any haunted areas in it. I dont remember the site though.

Well, I live in Chicago so short answer: yes.
There are TONS of supposedly haunted places in or around Chicago. In fact there are TWO different people who give ghost tours! (plus a haunted cruise on the Chicago River/Lake Michigan.)

The ghost stories that I tell here are all true, they happened just how I accurately tell them.
When something happens I try to very accurately describe it and I strive to maintain that same description so as not to make the event bigger or more fantastic than it actually is.
When the people return and hear me telling others what has happened to them I ask them when I;m done talking if they would wish to chance or modify any words or descriptions that I am using to make it more accurate?
So far nobody has asked to change anything I say.
Maybe I'm getting it pretty close the first time?
I have never made up any of the stories that I tell about this house, if I did, I would make up better stories!

We have some places. On the family farm, we have a haunted millhouse with a great story that my dad recites.

There are a couple of those places where you can park your car and it rolls "uphill."

And there is a cemetery in the woods here that...late at night...you can hear music. Almost like it's coming from the house on the other side of the cemetery, but that's just crazy talk.

No, that's not crazy. "Crazy" is when you have an unstoppable compulsion to begin dancing to that music.......and the guy with the fiddle has horns on his head.
..and his six daughters are SO CUTE!

........but hooves really hurt when they step on your feet when you are dancing with them!
