That sound exactly like my husband and I. I typically find myself saying "Hello" to the scareactors who jump out. Actually the past few years we've found ourselves saying "Save it for the group of screaming girls behind us..." they always give us that big smile like "Oh thank you!" Then about a minute later you hear this blood curdling scream from the aforementioned group we referred the scareactor to....LOL...it's great!![]()
Do you all come down for HHN every year? That's awesome!!!

I came here to chew bubble gum and kick ass. I'm all out of bubble gum.
Laurie: "Was that the boogeyman?"
Dr. Loomis: "As a matter of fact...that was."

Sorry I couldn't elaborate in my last post, we were headed out....
The Ravens Grin is about 5,000 sq. ft. of house featuring seven physical levels traveling almost half a mile within it for the tour.
There are mazes, displays,my own artwork, costumes, collections, art cars, hand-dug tunnels under the yard, secret passages, real ghosts.
It could require as much as 45 to 60 minutes in the first room just to tell the haunted history of this house.
I can tell it seriously or humorously or a combination therein.
About a year ago I had a male and female Police officers so scared they did not want to get off the couch in the front room to see the rest of the tour!
(Maybe I shouldn't have told the haunted history so seriously that time?)
I have designed and built the majority of this house as far as displays and effects are concerned . Haunters well versed in the litany of the halloween prop companys get almost no opportunity to display this knowledge as they go through this house.
I have scared professional haunters during my tour so well that some of them end up on the floor, one haunter who owns and runs a very large Haunt open for 8 months of the year told me how nobody can scare him was forced to truthfully admit that I had scared him. (His jerking, quivvering and strange, quick dance steps gave him away, as did his hollering) Yet I have the occassional disgruntled October patron complain that my place isn't scary enough, sorry, no Hollywood Monsters or blood baths found here.
I was recently told that some haunted house workers who took my tour last year went home in agreement that they all thought I was going to kill them when they were here doing the tour!!??
This was a huge surprise to me since they had the same tour I give to everyone and never make any threats or such physical moves at all.
I do fancy myself to be an efective storyteller, but it is easy to do when your story is true and the storyteller has lived most of the story himself, yes, this house is really haunted and weird things happen here.
One of your brother Halloween Forum members just saw the house tour last night. As soon as he gets back home to his computer , maybe he can give his point of veiw and feelings of the place?
The last time I saw him he was walking toward his car, really, he was."My Insanity is well-respected, until they wiggle free and become a stringer for a tabloid"

I meant for Universal Halloween Horror Nights, but would absolutely LOVE to go to Gym's! For some reason I thought he lived in PA and was quite psyched about the possibility as we get up that way on occasion. But I decided to check it out and was kind of saddened to find that it is west of Chi. We go to Michigan every couple of years, but that is well out of our way. I must pull out my Mr. Knowitall hats and think up a way to make it. hmmmmmmmmmm...............

Maybe few others will find this exactly "hilarious" but , tonight as I was half-way through a tour of the house for a man and two women the guy says, "I took your sister to Prom."
"???"
He had. In 1972.
Hadn't seen him since.
She has a pretty picture of the two of them all dressed up, he looked like a blond surfer-boy(not anymore)
I asked him what he has been up to since?
He became a professional skate boarder, got ran over by a car in Jamiaca, had numourous operations, then became a professional skater, then went into the hazardous waste removal business"I only hired old people , since they haven't got long to live anyhow."
Then he said he "Sobered up"!?
Now he is a substitute teacher.
My Sister might be to blame for all of this?
Ha-hahahahahaha!
The interesting people you meet running a haunted house!"My Insanity is well-respected, until they wiggle free and become a stringer for a tabloid"
