The funniest thing is at the bottom of this site was an ad for the SCarowinds in Charlotte, NC! LOL.

OK, I just came across the most bizarre religeous anti-Halloween web site ever. It has got to be a hoax, but they play it straight and had me fooled for a while.

It's totally a hoax... had me stifling big laughs at work (dangerous to read at work). I didn't get farther than the index page and it cracked me up.

You make perfect sense. This very thing caught the radical christians off guard on the MS gulf coast once when Marilyn Manson was scheduled to have a concert. They gave him the entire FRONT PAGE of the newspaper!! LOLOL They wanted to scream and protest, they called the newspapers, the tv stations... and the concert was a sellout because of it! My college instructors were going, some of them, because of the hype and fuss!quote:Originally posted by john
Don't even bother giving someone like this free press. Just by posting the link here, there web server stats just doubled. Best thing to do is ignore it.

As they say, there is NO such thing as 'bad press.'

ROFL. What a load of crap! Has anyone ever seen that episode of South Park where the people where shoving food up thier butts and crapping out thier mouths?? Thats what that reminds me of.

"What an awful name. Willard. If you had a stronger name, Frank Martin wouldn't push you around. Or maybe you've found a girlfriend if you'd had a more handsome name. Mark or Klye. Clark. From now, Willard, your name's Clark."

Actually I just wrote the webmaster of chick.com an email about his "History of Halloween". I pointed out a few errors and what I saw as scant evidence of his claims.
Now I wonder if I should have mentioned the Easter and Christams connection like ColoradoSprings suggested. Oh well maybe next time. Maybe I should contact a few Wiccan/Pagan friends of mine and knock on old Jack's door at Halloween and demand a virgin sacrifice. No, that would give him to much ammunition.
"Even while I breathed there came to my nostrils the breath of the vapor of heated iron. A suffocating odor pervaded the prison. A deeper glow settled each moment in the eyes that glared at my agonies. A richer tint of crimson diffused itself over the pictured horrors of blood. There could be no doubt of the design of my tormentors. Oh, most unrelenting! Oh, most demoniac of men! 'Death,' I said, 'any death but that of the pit.'"

I did not read the whole thing, but I think everyone is entitled to their opinion (for most things :-p). I love Halloween, but have nothing against someone who detests it for whatever reason (although depending on the reason, I might think they are a bit narrow-minded, justwanttoberight, or cuckoo :-p). As long as nothing in the article is intended to hurt anyone or trying to force ideas. . .what is the big deal? I am sure there is something every person on here feels strongly against that the next person would think is silly.
Buy my green guy stuff and make me happy.

On occasion, people have walked in the door of my friends' Halloween store just to tell us that we were going to Hell because we furthered the cause of Halloween!
