No moon, you didn't overstep. The toys are a given. I'm not looking for instructions honey, just some ideas for the night. You're right though, I do know him and I got that covered. I just didn't think my idea was very imaginative, so I thought some of you might have a creative idea for the non-naughty part of the night.

you crack me up, LOL!

Well, acutally I think YOUR ideas are GOOD ones...Especially if they are things you both don't get to do together very often

Dinner, a movie, sounds like HEAVEN minus my 3, hehehehehe..Remember we started late so mine are relatively small yet, *SIGH*...So opinion is, Yeah, Sister, I think you got it wired!
and remember to turn off the cell phones

Well, ok then! Fortunatly mine are much older. They all drive so I'm like "you guys need to find friends to hang with this weekend otherwise it's off to G-ma's house". We manage to find time to do things together now, but I can count on one hand the # of times I had a sitter for them as small crumb crunchers. Being active duty military, we were never geographically close enough to our family to have grandparents babysit and I never trusted anyone else. So we just learned to take them with us or stay home. It worked out o.k. though because all of our "military family" were in the same boat so we played a lot of cards and watched a lot of movies together. As the kids got older we took a lot of vacations, it wasn't too hard to catch a military hop to Japan or Korea. The kids thought it was exciting and I liked the shopping. After coming back stateside, we did a lot of camping in many different states and they thought that was cool too. Both my sons traveled all over the states with their national wrestling team, so my kids do not lack in seeing new sights and other cultures. It's just a matter of time now moon, before you get some small freedoms back. Your kids will soon be old enough to cover the babysitting duties of the little one and you can get away, even if its small intervals at first. I'm sure you know how important "quiet alone time is"...

Sure enough.... It amazes me that people freak because I just don't dump my kids off on people. We are a lot like you guys. We very rarely do anything that isn't a Family outting of sorts.

Like I said my dad is in no shape to chase around a 2 yr old and there really isn't anyone here I trust. I have had offers but always "politely" decline.

You're right though, my oldest just turned 13 and we have been giving her more responsiblity...even grocery shopping just me & him can be nice, LOL! We also go to our favorite restuarant for lunch alot.

The 2yr old is a handful whether you are 13 or 40, LOL!

Well, what ever you decide to do just enjoy the HECk out of it

ann~~

Twisted...like the idea of the romantic dinner...really like the jacuzzi...and I agree with Moon about the fireplace and a nice vintage Merlot. Were it me, though, I think I'd substitute some dancing for the movie, since movie's are sort of static and passive, and anniversaries -- even after 22 years -- shouldn't be. At least that's my oppinion. Oh yeah, and by the way, I'm not going anywhere! This forum is HOME!!!

I'll still be around, although I'll probably be quiet for some periods of time due to general busyness.
