I got two trick-or-treaters. Amazingly enough, they weren't the two ToTs I had during the past two years. I got a charge out of the fact that they actually thought my "Danger: Man-eating plants" sign was telling the truth! It's too bad that their young age means I have to limit my decorations somewhat so I don't traumatize them, though.
We had 42 trick or treaters, not real impressive by some of your numbers, but last year was about 35, and the two years earlier were about 15. I love seeing the numbers increase. We actually had quite a few adults drop by just to check us out. If you include all the people who dropped in our count would be over 60, and the majority stuck around a while.

Sreamingjaw, don’t’ give up my Halloween friend. Word of mouth will get them running!
Scarymary, still up? You are a true fanatic! LOL
Cinders, it’s great to hear you are a Halloween hit! Hope to see pictures.
Ickyvicky, do you really need all that candy? LOL Can’t wait to see your pictures. Your BIL sounds like a cool guy.
Atomic Mystery Monster, two is a good start. Hopefully they brag about your haunt at school and you get more next year. Word of mouth is the beat advertising there is.
Wolf65, you keep doing this and you’ll empty that mall. Hopefully you’ve inspired others to go all out and make Halloween the door to door holiday it should be.
‘Sure, I’ll eat the candy off the ground. As long as the TOTs didn’t wet there pants when they dropped it.’
We had around 100 TOTers. It seemed to slow down earlier than normal this year. The bad thing was that I think both fog machines are on the blink and that the hubby needs to "tinker" with them.
One good thing...many groups came bringing friends. They kept telling them, you've got to check this place out...
I'd love to not pack it all up so we could continue working on some props!!
"All of my neighbors think I'm a FREAK! I'm sure it's not the graves and zombies roaming the yard..."
I had about 30 ToTers. My yard was decorated to the hilt with graveyards, dead bodies rising from the dirt, female vampires, strobe lights and colored lights.I was dressed in my corpse outfit poised for the scare of little ToTers and had my trusty fake chain saw.Just wanted more kids to scare.
Isn't it funny that we all can't seem to get enough of Halloween? I built another prop last night lol. My goal this year is to create a couple every month or so, that way I will kave more time to "Get the word out". I did that a couple years ago and since the weather was horrible on Halloween, we did it on the following Saturday, Nov. 2nd and we had a wonderful turnout. Somewhere around 100 as close as we could tell.
I am also going to plan ahead and run underground power and control wires next summer, No more ugly extension chords. Our problem around here is that it is only a 10 mile drive to the city where the TOT's can haul in more goodies in 5 minutes than the can all night in town. Plus they get to go to the biggest H-Parade in the state and glom onto more candy. So, I am making a new rule! Haunted Houses aren't just for Halloween night anymore. I think it should start on the Saturday before and run till the Sunday following.
Creepymama, sorry to hear about your foggers. Hope "the hubby" can fix them for ya. Word of mouth is great! Hope they come in droves next year.
Rod, hope you took some pictures. Be great to see them. Looks like things when a bit slow for you as well. There's always next year my Halloween friend.
Screamingjay, you are a true fanatic! If you advertise a bit that may draw more to your door the Saturday before. With word of mouth for kids that liked it you may even end up with more Halloween night.
