I was wondering if any of you have bought mold's online for skull's or creepy things like that? I purchased some ceramic skulld and I'm trying to make a mold from them so I can make more skull's. I was thinking of using my liquid latex and pouring it over part of the skull so I can have a flexible part of the mold for the hard areas like the eye sockets and jaw then fill the rest behing the latex with plaster. Any ideas?

I have something called Smooth-on Silicone Mold Making Rubber. The box claims it is for making perfect reproductions of original models. I have never tried it before, but hope to cast some skulls this year. I need to find a good skull first. All mine are either too small, or not realistic enough.

My wife picked it up quite a while back. Not sure what it cost or where from. She does a lot of crafts and is always buying stuff to try. The web site is www.smooth-on.com
I looked, but do not see this exact product there. We have two boxes of the stuff, each containing 16oz of casting material.

I used a skull mold purchased online for my pillars. The mold was supposed to be used for wax candles, but the plaster of paris that I used worked great. I don't see why latex wouldn't work after you made a solid form from the mold. Best of all, they're pretty cheap...well, I think so. Try this link:

Wold65, for good looking skulls try
http://www.boneyardbargains.com/Shop...fty_skulls.htm
The 3 piece and 2 piece skulls are not from the same mold so if you buy both of them you'll be getting different heads.
