Answer: A Prop is usually a physical item to allow people to focus their attention upon while they are being entertained by someone.
(I like some "props" that are totally vocal and imaginary, they wear better over the years, other people may steal them but you can't tell if they do because they are still here and usable. Two examples to illustrate what I mean: The plastic airplane kit in my upstairs hallway hanging from the ceiling, "My "Stealth" Bomber, there were some parts missing, it was a very difficult kit!" I am pointing a dim flashlight up at the ceiling , they are all straining to make it out, but there is actually nothing there."My Stealth Bomber"
Example two: "My "Tapeworm" costume, since I'm too fat in my old age to wear it, I have it stored in the crack between those boards so it doesn't get wrinkled, yes, my old Tapeworm costume! A woman said,"Where else would you keep your Tapeworm but in your crack?"
