    SPONSORED: Evolution of Halloween
Halloween has changed quite a bit over the years. What used to be vampires, ghosts, and witches is now pink ladies, Harley Quinns, and Luke Skywalkers. It's easy to forget the true origins of Halloween, so here is an infographic to help bring us back to those roots.

This is awesome! It's a nice easy read over what is difficult to get across to people. And it's all accurate as far as I can tell. Great job!

It's not loading. I will agree that Halloween is a bit over-commercialized. I was born in 1983, so there was still this sense of old world Halloween. We still dressed as Halloween icons, and you could still get licensed Halloween costumes, but they weren't as good as they have today. Cheaper fabrics, sometimes plastic costumes, and cheap, flimsy plastic masks. Here's a question. Since DIY/maker/crafting is big now, does anyone know if people/parents are making costumes again?

I went to a Halloween event today with my nephew, at the local botanical gardens. They had a costume parade, hay rides, a corn maze, face painting, and other activities. I was surprised at the amount of traditional Halloween costumes, scattered among the licensed ones. I saw mostly witches, bur some devils, reapers, cats, etc.
