    Default Spreading out Fog ideas???

I use a VEI-950 super fogger to fog my front yard during my yard haunt. As many of you are already aware, this thing can put out some fog! Only problem is, of course there's always some sort of wind to deal with. I position the fog machine in my yard to act with the wind but it seems like i I just get this big cloud of fog that travels in only this one direction instead of spreading out over the yard. Other then buying a bunch of fog machines and placing them all over the yard, does anybody have any good ideas on spreading out the fog output over a larger area? This thing definitely has enough fog dispersment to do it, just need to find a good way of spreading it out. I have thought about putting an oscilating fan or 2 behind it to help, or maybe ducting it thru some 3" PVC? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

have you considered using perforated drainage pipe

it has the benefit of also keeping the fog close to the ground similar in function to a fog chiller/cooler

you could run numerous lengths throughout your yard and if required use those sections that are upwind

Thus is what I use and even with a little wind it works great. It works really good when coupled with a chiller.

The wind is the killer.. but like the other two said, using that material, or even using step-down connectors with black pvc and drilling some holes every few inches so it can seep out as it travels down the tubes. The main issue to be concerned about besides wind is if anyone walks across your yard in any way, that they don't trip over the tubing and possibly fall on some props or get hurt.

I use two foggers.. although this year I am trying my hand with DMX and I have the VEI 960 with DMX remote (if I can find where I put the remote) and hoping to use it with some lighting. Still, the ADJ 1200 I have puts out almost as much fog, so that with my chiller will put out enough to cover my grave yard. I also use a y-connector at one or two ends to divert the fog to different places. With the output the 950 has, it should easily divert to multiple locations. Just make sure to leave a good inch or so between the nozzel and the inlet of the pvc so it can atomize with the air. Another trick is to use a venturi pvc at the nozzle so that as it pushes the fog in one of the openings, the other 30degree or so opening allows air to be sucked in with it. Not sure if there is any benefit either way.

I have a 950 also. I use two or three peices of french drain pipe. It comes with two rows of holes already...I taped up one of the holes and paint the whole thing black and duct tape the seems..plus it's cheap.

i like using the drainage pipe and icing my fog, you can control your flow by taping the holes or drilling them if you get a solid piece...i've tried using two small fogger at either end of the pipe also with good results put them on a timer....tape of the end of the pipe so it goes out of the holes and cool it, that should help control your flow alot with a good fogger and put it up wind.....someone was also using a bag at the end of their pipe to disperse their fog, i'm going to play with that this year in spots, maybe put a bag of ice in the bag and see what happens, i'm just going to tape up some heavy black plastic for my bag and attact to a flex pipe off the fogger with pvc connection..........
