One of my favorite halloween commercials of recent years has been the Snickers commercial set in the grocery store where the two kids dressed as a really tall ugly woman talk shoppers into buying Snickers for their ToTers. Well I saw a new 2012 Snickers commercial this a.m. that is right up there. Saw it on CBS during Young & Restless. Here's the gist:
Halloween night. Kids are out ToTing and along comes a giant head with kids' feet sticking out underneath. The head is a CGI head of a white haired older man, so picture very realistic, and it bumps into a car as it walks down the sidewalk and encounters a group of ToTers. It says, "I am here for your head! I'm the horseless headsman". One of the ToTers says, "I think you mean the headless horseman". "No", he replies. And the kid says, "Here, have a Snickers", and hands him a Snickers Bar. Big Head says, "Why?" Kid replies, "Because you get confused when you're hungry". Big Head puts Snickers in his mouth and eats it. Kid says, "Better?" Big Head says, "Better!" Then the tag line comes up "You're not you when your're hungry" which announcer says and you see a Black horse with the body of a headless horseman rise up as the horse rises on it's hind legs, and the the last shot is of a JOL briming full of Snickers Bars with the tagline spoken by the Announcer, "Snickers is "Halloween Satisfaction"."
Hope you guys get a chance to catch it. I still think I like the grocery store one the best but this was pretty cute.
