The deadline for submitting videos was Jan 31st. As I sit here working on the DVD's for this year I see a number of haunts missing from the list. I know there are videos of the haunts because I saw some of them on the Home Haunters Association award list. I have also caught some of them on Youtube. If you've posted your video on youtube why not send a copy over to us so we can include it in this DVD collection. The collection is for home haunters. It is a way for people to watch videos of all the home haunters after the season is over since we can't see each others haunts during the season. We pass on the costs of making each set and mailing on to people who submit there is no profit in this project it is just volunteers working to share in the home haunt community.

So, if you haven't submitted but would like to upload or mail your video from this link do it quickly and I'll get your video in the set. http://www.hauntersvideos.com/videos.htm

I got the set for Halloween 2010 (MMX) last year and it was great! You guys did a great job assembling this collection. It's wonderful to see what others put together, and since the video is taken by the haunt owner you get a better idea of what they want to convey. It's very much like the idea of taking all the videos of people's haunts on this forum and gathering them together in one spot.

    Eagerly anticipating the new release!

The DVD's are off to the duplicators and are due back March 14th. We'll begin shipping out all the preorders first the next day. If you haven't preordered your set you can do so at the link. There are 75 haunts from all over the world on this set. If you submitted to the set or know someone that did you might want to check them out.

Does the DVD set include prop video tutorials or narrative about prop placement, etc?

This looks very cool. Do the DVDs only contain walkthroughs? Or do one or more haunters present video tutorials on various props in their haunts? In other words, is there at least a good deal of narrative about prop placement, etc. If the DVD set contained at least some video tutorials or how-to narrative, this would up the value of the DVD set immensely. I know there's a lot here on the forums and YouTube. But it would be terrific to have a carefully compiled collection of home haunt video tutorials in DVD format. If you don't have any tutorials in this year's set, please consider asking folks to submit some for the 2012 collection.

The DVD set contains video submitted from 76 home haunters. Over half of these are yard displays. There are a couple that contain detail on specific props. Most of the walkthroughs are at night with actors or the public present but there are a few that are narrated with lights on.

The nature of this DVD set is really to showcase individual home haunts to share with like minded haunters who otherwise would never had got to see it setup. It answers the question...How did your haunt turn out last year?

I've just finished watching disc 2 (of 5) and all I can say is WOW! It's great to see everybody's hard work come to fruition! Wait until you see the Davis Graveyard Abbey! Holy Hannah! Where do you store it all? Oh, for the day my haunt requires a scissor lift for set up!

Thank you. Actually the lift costs $75 for the day. Probably one of the cheapest things we spend money on in the grand scheme of things.
