Has anyone used the color changing GU10 LED lights? You can see examples of them on YouTube if you search. Eaglelight sells them online. They look really cool. Each light comes with a remote that controls one light or multiple ones. They claim 16 different colored can be made using the remote. The remote also has strobe, flash, and smooth transition modes. Prices on eBay range from $8 to $15. I bought a few to see how they work. I'll keep everyone posted on these lights that I think have high Halloween potential!

I have the same thing except its an actual lightbulb shape and its really cool. I didn't really play with the settings yet. Last Halloween I had it on random and it would just cycle through all the colors. Its not that bright. There's a picture of it in my 2011 album with my creepy watcher guy.

Home Depot has a color changing "party bulb" next to all the colored CFLs, but I thought it was pretty dim unless you're in a dark room, in which case it's much brighter than a color changing tea light or tap light. No remote, there's a button on it where you cycle through the modes. I've heard these ones with remotes are much much brighter, I need to buy one to play with it. Deal Xtreme has many different kinds of color changing LEDs w/remote, some of which are in the $30 range and supposedly quite bright (many of them have non-US plugs though) . Someone I know bought one and his opinion was basically "not as good as I'd hoped but worth the price".
