As I sit reading through HF and looking over pictures from this years Halloween Party. I found that the furniture I use for the halloween party is killing the decore.
Our Halloween Decorations in the yard and house look great. I also use our garage as a lounge area and there is also a 16 X 26 tent for activites and games off one of the garage doors. In the "lounge area we have been using our patio furniture for seating but it just does not fit. Usually decorate the lounge area as a haunted mansion.
Pretty sure I can search yard/garage sales for the next 9 month and find the peices I need relativy cheap but have no storage for the extra furniture each year.
So has anyone built their own furniture for a halloween party? Stuff that can be taken back apart after the Hallowenn and stored flat.

Could you cover the furniture with sheets? Maybe stain them up a bit to give them a spooky feel?

There are other holidays besides Halloween? When did they start that?

I was thinking sheets as well. Or cheesecloth or satiny coffin fabrics. Some with blood stains, some with dirt, some ripped and filthy like it used to be a shroud... You could also sew/pin/hot glue them around the chairs so they will be less likely to trip up someone moving about.
Hello, I want my book. Bonjour, je veux mon livre.

I have to agree with the sheets idea. I had really ugly chairs on the porch of my last place that I just threw white sheets/cloth over. I rent and storage can be an issue depending on the place and of course having to move everything can be a hassle as well. Sheets are a lifesaver for me.
