I was thinking for those who use a lot of LED tea lights, either for PVC candles, Pumpkinrot inspired witch lights, etc., that if you have a lot for a graveyard, or heaven forbid, hanging from your trees, it must be a major pain to turn them off manually all the time. I had seen some remote controlled on / off, but with a 30 ft range would be hard to get all on/off when spaced out. Additionally, reviews were not good (turning themselves on without remote) and cost was prohibitive.
However, I did find that they do make tea lights that have a timer in them (5 hours on, 19 hours off) that are repeating. The battery should last pretty well as it's rated for 120 hours which by my math means 24 days although I found a review that said half that. I've found them online for $7 per 4 pack, not including shipping. At that rate, they are over 5x more expensive than buying the regular 3 pack at the dollar tree. However, I thought I should mention they exist for those that want to use them for hard to get to places in their haunt (thinking a tree full of witch lights).
Would be interesting in seeing if there was a cheap place to get good quality ones, a major sale to be aware of, or (afraid to mention it after last year) a group buy discount.

For good quality weather proof ones, we offer TNB pillars and votives, BUT, they are pricey.
They are 6 on 18 off.
The votives will run 45 days (I have them running for 90 between Halloween and xmas time in the windows, so that is a very very conservative estimate on the makers part)
The pillars, run for a year on 1 d-cell, or the triple wick version for 4 months.
I will have them discounted in box and case pricing next week during the pre-order and show pricing event, but even so, they are not "cheap".

Superbrightleds.com have some remote controlled multi colored lights and you can set them for 4 or 8 hrs and they will turn off after that.. They are great! I also bought alot from Williams-Sonoma-called pumpkin lights on their website, and they also are very bright-but only 1 color, but also has remote and timer. The remote will work from a max of 20 ft away. You can turn them on from inside the house. They worked really well and are very bright. Most of them I used to put inside my props and JOL's so even thru lots of rain, they still worked. I also bought candles on a timer that were waterproof. And they worked really well-but they are little pricey. The candles were not made of wax which was great-didn't melt in FL weather.

I've always preferred 8-on-16-off so I can have them run from 5PM to 1AM, but Home Depot always carries 5-on for Christmas and I bought a huge bunch of them on clearance this year. I also managed to grab several strands of the 10-flickering-candles from Walmart that simulate the old-fashioned mini candles used on christmas trees but the candles are removable and you get an indoor/outdoor flickering LED strand.

Excellent thread! I didn't even know there were automatic on/off tea lights. I was almost in tears after last year's party going around and turning off (what felt like) a million tea light switches at 3:30 in the morning. I'll definitely look into everyone's links.

Xane, out of curiosity do you remember what the retail was on the Home Depot ones and then what you got them for? Was wondering what the cost per was on them. I didn't know Home Depot stocked that for Christmas. 6 pm to 11 pm isn't too bad.

It was pretty expensive, about $17 for a pack of six candles with cheap gold holders. They also had tea lights, color changing tea lights, and votive candles. I had bought votive candles last year. When Christmas clearance started, I bought one pack of tapers and tea lights at 50% off, then waited for 75% before buying any more.
I tend to be a serious clearance shopper (I've actually hit a point where I never buy something at less than 50% off unless I have no other option) so maybe I should make a single thread where I post items I buy (or see) that people around here could use.
