If you have the time, please read this. I just received an e-mail of John Wolfe's plight. I don't know if anyone here has ever visited his site, but he's someone with a true love of Halloween and the fun things about life in general. I knew he had some major health issues, but this really hits home like a hammer. I had no idea it was this bad. Over the past few years we exchanged e-mails, and he is always polite and friendly, and would run contests off his site resulting in very nice giveaways, of which I was the recipient several times. I sent him some of my work to read, and our correspondence tapered off recently. He intends to keep his site online regardless of his own condition, and I think it would be a great honor to him if you bookmark and enjoy it, as there is a wealth of great Halloween topics he wrote about, but most of all send prayers his way. After you read his latest post, you'll understand everything. Incredibly tragic

Consider it done, bookmarked. For once, I am speechless. Being a personal friend, if you would please express our deepest condolences in this time of ongoing tragedy. From what little I've read so far, he sounds very much like a person that I would have been honored to have known. The world will be a lesser place for the loss.

I have just read his last post.. Sad and wise. I never heard of his blog before tonight, very nice, civilized.. Sounds like a great guy.
My Grandfather, who died 5 yrs. before I was born struggled through the 1940's with stomach cancer, after many operations, paid for by his best friend, he said," Please just let me die."
That best friend, Johnny Soders said, "I would have spent every penny I had if I could have saved him." Rare people lived then by today's fare.
My Grandfather left his Wife, two daughters, one at home, one working in Washington D.C and one son, my Father, in Europe, unable to come back for the funeral because of the war."My Insanity is well-respected, until they wiggle free and become a stringer for a tabloid"

Thanks, and you're a kind person for your comments. He sounds like he's at peace despite his terrible condition, and we can only hope for a miracle to turn his health around. Continue to read his blogs. John is a true fan of the holiday and life in general, as clearly is evidenced in his writing.

I have visited his blog before. I am pretty sure Pumpkinrot links to him and that's where I found him. Great work.
Isn't it strange that haunters deal with ghouls, and corpses, and graveyards, but seem to be some of the nicest folks around? I will pray for him, and hope he gets well.
Thanks for telling his story here. I sincerely hope he can become well again! What a brave man. My grandfather had cancer of the brain, and to the last day he denied his illness, even tried to leave the hospital. I do not know the course Mr. Wolfe's illness will take, but his acceptance of it is very brave to me.
I will visit his blog often and enjoy his work! People like him make Halloween a great time and place to be!

Sorry about your friend's ills, Paul. It's great that he still has kept a sense of humor in spite of his condition. It is too bad that he isn't doing well enough to continue the blog. He seems like a good man.
