Send scareme a message. I don't think her album is posted here, but I'm sure she would direct you to it. She did D of the D last year and did a fabulous job! I also think spookiliscious mama did it last year as well.

Sorry about the junk it back and the faded makeup but this was late at night and I was getting ready to wash off my makeup and go to bed. I might do day of the dead makeup this year depending on whether or not I can manage to make my other costume.
"Come little children, I'll take thee away, into a land of Enchantment. Come little children, the time's come to play, here in my garden of Shadows. Follow sweet children, I'll show thee the way, through all the pain and the sorrows."
~ Edgar Allen Poe

Well, here's a video of my 2011 Día de Muertos altar. It is a really basic altar, because some other people do a bigger one. But basically what you need for an "altar de muertos" is Sugar skulls, papel picado (which is this decorative paper that has the skeletal figures cut in them), flowers (this is for dead people remember), pictures of the dead relative or friend you wish that comes to the altar, his or her favorite food (usually we put mexican food and the seasonal "Pan de Muertos" in english "Bread for the dead"), lots of candlelights you must be able to see everything with lights off. Since Mexico is a catholic country, candlelights usually have religious images, but you can just put normal candlelights if you wish. Also, Catrina figures are very popular, and skeletons doing everyday stuff figures too. Día de Muertos' main colors are purple and orange (just like halloween is black and orange). You can google this, and you can watch my video. I can answer any further inquiries, since I'm Mexican, and I do celebrate Día de Muertos.
Where Hinges creek in doorless chambers... And where strange and Frightening sounds Echo...through the halls... Whenever candlelights flicker... where the air is DEATHLY STILL... that is the time when GHOSTS are present... Practicing their terror, with GOULISH DELIGHT...

nice video ghosthost. it is such a colorful festive occasion. so different from our halloween. so i have some questions. do you play that kind of music when you have this displayed? are the words personalized to whom you're showing your respect too? and of the pictures displayed of family members, are they all passed away, or are some still alive. and do they have to be relatives, or can they be friends?
