Thread: Tax time spooky buys

Ok, so some of us will be receiving tax refunds soon. Is anyone planning to buy any big stuff? I don't know how I'll resist. Sometimes I lose my spooky spirit so far away from Halloween, but I'm trying to keep it alive and I really want to buy something AMAZING!

My plan has been to buy a WoW light controller... Probably a 32 channel but I don't know yet. Thats my big purchase. I think that I may do a couple of bucky's too but that will depend on the wife.

I have been thinking about it my self. not sure what it would be...... There was horns i saw on-line at Christmas time.............

I got my Skulltronix with a tax refund a few years ago.....They were having a BIG sale at the time so it seemed like the right time.....I've been debating on a Ghost Bust off and on over the years so I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up with one of those one of these years.........ZR

Hopefully a heavey duty fog machine, I've been thinking about one from Guitar Center, they're
used but you never know.

Well..... this was *intended* to be a tax-time buy, but wasn't. I was planning on buying a mannequin, to fill the void left by Grandin Road's Venetian Victoria. Still love Vicky lots, but I couldn't do a lot with her. She's pretty fixed.

So, i couldn't find my 1st mannequin choice, but I think I ended up liking choice #2 even better. She's more versatile. Arrived a few days before Christmas, and she's so cool that even my husband is impressed.

I may force the other half to give me some tax-time cash to help pay for her. But.... she's gorgeous. I will have her costumed throughout the year, she's currently rocker-chick'ed out but other costumes will be coming. She's even more of an impressive presence than Victoria is. Currently waiting on Clive Barker's "sexy cenobite" costume for her. [its out of stock everywhere.]

After working at HalloweenCity last fall, I'm trying to avoid spending any more money on Halloween merch. Projects are another story of course.
I'll be spending what little I actually get on my trip to the National Haunters Convention. It's an hour and half drive for me. Its a mini vacation in the middle of the hundred days of hell at work (the spring time is like X-mas where I work), and I get my Halloween fix. Of course, I'll probably come home with some goodies...
