I'm not about to go look at that tape that did deliberately want to hurt animals, and thought it was funny. There's no way the kids in that audience knew the animals were being hurt. NOT the same "************** (ETA: this should have read e nter tainment...got bleeped...huh??) in my book. And not the same in ours either...even those of us expressing the humor, or at least the morbidity, of that clip have objected to the actual treatment of the animals...that was pretty much the first thing said, wasn't it? Go back and re-read.
I think you're on your high horse for all the wrong reasons and I personally don't appreciate that. Want to feel superior? Go to a kindergarten class and read aloud from Wuthering Heights. But kindly don't attempt to make the rules on a morbid forum about a morbid subject, as to which morbid things are funny and which aren't and exactly where that line is. And how if you're only pretending to mass murder little trick-or-treaters, that's okay...With examples no less...I'd better stop now, I'm a little disgusted.

this forum is not morbid, and alot of us here dont do gore, for me, on a basic level, it bothers me to see animals tortured.. take it how you want

Yet you do find The Juggalos (post #7) worthy of applause (anyone who doesn't know ICP, Google some lyrics) ... hypocritical, if you ask me. I think if you take a good long look at yourself we won't have to knock you off that high horse, you'll climb down quietly of your own accord and try to forget you ever told the rest of the world who the good and who the bad people were.

How can anyone find someone snapping and axe-murdering teenagers ( <- not safe for work warning -- lyrics) at a prom an entertainment? And sing to such a horrible thing, no less? Tsk, tsk. That's okay, zero. I don't think (much) less of you.
You getting the idea yet?
Or does your reveling in cruelty only extend to humans; for animals, it's a no-no?
Hypocritical and that's my last word so I don't get suspended from this forum. ETA: Or maybe I never learn...again, not safe for work (lyrics): this is what's acceptable to you yet other people are bad for finding the irony and incredible creepiness in that horrible little kid's show?

Depends on your definition of the word. Anything even remotely dark can be construed as such, whether it involves gore or not, so, in my estimation, we are all at least a touch morbid
The 'horrorcore' music genre is nearly the same as rap, correct? Maybe even a bit more violent, if that's possible...
You may not have severed body parts in your haunt, but how are the lyrics to the songs of ICP or similar groups any different? No disrespect meant, but could you honestly look someone in the eye and tell them that your music choices are wholesome?
This thread was about entertainment, and it's open to debate whether the animals were being abused. I wasn't there, so I can't say whether they were or not. Sorry, but unless you were in the audience or on the stage, I don't believe that you have all the facts to make a convincing argument, either.

Very well said.
The 3 guys 1 hammer comment was seriously uncalled for. You spoiled the ending for people who hadn't seen it yet.
And WTF? While the animals surely would have been doing something else with their time if they had their way, I see no reason to "promise" that two animals dies as a result of it. I have reviewed this clip several times and I see no indication to believe that either animal died.

You sir, need a mental enema if you can equate this video to any of those examples you gave whatsoever. If you believe that anyone here was finding humor in the treatment of the animals contained within it, then my prior statement applies in triplicate. Your entire post is completely uncalled for, and you can take that from someone who has spent the majority of their life working the front lines with real animal rescues. Not mere organizations that take your donations and give the "idea" lip service for publicity.

I still find the manipulation and fear-tactics used on children the most disturbing things about those clips. I think it's clear that nobody on this thread finds animal abuse funny. I can't imagine that would go over well with the good people on this forum.
I agree with Garth that morbidity is subjective. Someone may find a conversation about death morbid, without anyone mentioning anything about gore. People have called me morbid many times, mainly because of my fascination with death, and I've always taken it as a compliment. There's something wrong with me chemically, something wrong with me inherently.
