It's been a pretty productive one for me. Things I accomplished for my lucky day: Started skinning my obelisk stone's frame with mash board for reinforcing the lower foam, had to move to another project while the glue dries. Cut & assembled the table surface and frame for my hot-wire foam scroll saw (still waiting on the transformer to be delivered). Laid out the internal framework for the body of my animatronic raven (also waiting on parts). Then sat around watching glue dry. Lol!
I hate when Amazon vendors claim shipping UPS, then ship it via UPS Mail Innovations (A fancy way of saying "We took it to UPS. But really, we shipped it USPS on the slow boat"). That's false advertising if you ask me. Which is a subject that really chaps my hindquarters...
On a better note, I hope everyone else had a great Friday the 13th!

So far, I'm into it for approximately $140 in parts/materials. By the time I'm finished, that tab will probably be in the $180-200 neighborhood. It can be done for a little less. I differed from the rest in the decoy I used for the body being a little more expensive than the ones Haunt1000, Buccaneerbabe, & Hirez used. I based mine on the "Cawlin' Crow" w/ electronic caller by Expedite, instead of the Avery Greenhead "Agressive Caller". The one I chose came with a built in sound module that sounds like a murder of crows, which I'll be using on a different but related project.
Here is pretty well all of the info available on every type that's been made so far, that I am aware of.

The estate sale prop I was interested in turned out to be a $500 item, which was expected but still disappointing. So, I wound up spending a big chunk of my day sorting, storing, and organizing props and supplies. Even I am starting to feel just a trifle scared by how much stuff I own that has its origins in a Halloween display. I was already planning a major downsizing this year but wow.... it's going to have to be a VERY major downsizing to have an impact.
So, my Friday the 13th was scary, just not in the expected manner. Hopefully tomorrow's morning estate sale and afternoon CL prop pick-up (still irresistable in the middle of all this stuff) will be a little more encouraging.

It wasn't by my choice. I have a 14 year old daughter. No further explanation needed.
So even tho I was on my laptop, listening to the radio on my headphones, I was still in the room with her & she was happy. I didn't have to actually watch the little punk - so I was happy!

Lol! I got the "wasn't by my choice" part earlier. I was just ribbing ya a little
I think that Lao-Tzu, author of the ancient book "Tao te ching" might have a relevant thing or two to say on the subject. I believe he would voice something on the order of: "If it were not for bad taste, one would be unable to discern good tastes."
