I'm looking at using a bubble machine for a prop and I would love any input / reccomendations. Also, has anyone used the UV bubble fluid, if so, how did it work?
Thanks

Hi I just had a cheapo bubble machine but used "tekno bubbles". They were awesome in the blue color with the blacklight. The gold was cool too but didnt go with the alien scene I was doing.

I let the coolness of a fog bubble machine get the better of me two years ago. Looked really cool in the store. Got it home and it stunk. Just didn't work well at all. Returned it the next day. Never got another one. Meh to bubble machines for me! Good luck.

Purchased one from the Spirit Store 3 years ago; never had any luck with it, we tried several different kinds of bubble juice and never could get it to work properly. Demon Dog wants to throw it in the trash...but I'm not ready to depart with it just yet...

Yes, for recommendations: I'd say don't get one. As for how it worked: not well at all (unless you just want a slippery spot on the ground beside your prop).

Ok the one I have is Chauvet b250. Have never uses uv juice but this machine will fill the yard with bubbles. Haven't really used with a prop, only during summer for kids to play. Have been suckered into the fog bubble machine, which I agree isn't worth the money or the mess. But If u want just bubble the above will work. What type of prop do u want to use it for?

I manage to snag a Billion Bubbles Generator from Walgreens on summer end clearance for $5. At $10 regular I wasn't expecting much but the thing creates a storm of bubbles. You can find it online, but it tends to be pricey. The biggest downside is that the bubble fluid tank is small so I've been meaning to upgrade it with a siphon tank system to keep it topped up longer or possibly remove the spin/fan mechanism and put it in a big jug.
The bubble fluid does make a difference. Not many stores carry it off summer. Target had none in their kids aisle but I did find it in the party supply section. This worked fine. I then bought some at Walgreens just-in-case, and it didn't work, the bubbles popped before getting out of the machine. I don't know if this meant that it was too good and it was trying to make one giant bubble rather than breaking off a stream of them, or if it was too weak and just didn't hold up. It worked fine with the built in wand. I mixed it half and half with the one from Target and it still worked. I used to be good at making my own bubble fluid to use with giant bubble wands or do bubble magic, but I haven't done it in years. Original blue Dawn and glycerin used to be the best but I don't think they make the old formula anymore, it's all "super powerful triple concentrated wash oil off a baby penguin" stuff now.

Think the b250 may work.
