I'm amazed one of the many vendors who has public (or secret) accounts here hasn't posted a thread like this yet, so I thought I'd start one. What do we want to see that is either not made anymore (like the lightning effects box) or not made yet or not exactly what we want (like an easy low voltage DC distribution box with regulated power)? Also, what kind of (realistic!!) price point would we want to see on them, and at what point are they going to be made and left unsold until clearance, and then never ordered/made again?
I'm thinking more in terms of items used to make props rather than actual props themselves (i.e. "a better Frankenstein!") but I guess we could use the same thread for both ideas.

Interesting thread possibility.
I use much sheet metal and steel bolted and welded together so I am sort of out of this thread, so to speak. My electrical things are simple, no computer help, just motion detectors plus a hidden , low-voltage override switch (or two?) to keep the customers guessing.
I have no sound system in my house because it would be competing with my own voice as I lead people through the house on a narrated tour. I tried doing the sound system for awhile and it was counter productive and quite basically stupid."My Insanity is well-respected, until they wiggle free and become a stringer for a tabloid"

I would like to see stores carry epoxy clay. That stuffs the best prop making substance out there, but no stores I know of sell it. The stuff is pretty heavy so shipping usually costs as much as the clay itself.

1. Cheap, waterproof (or at least highly water resistant) projector with decent light output. That really shouldn't be that hard anymore.
2. Cameras have pretty good face detection built into them. I'd like to see such coupled to motors so that I could attach it to a prop and have it either follow a person's face (turning to look at them), or, even better, wait till they AREN'T facing and then turn to face them so when they turn back it's now staring at them without them seeing it move. I can dream, I know.
