somthing i was thinking, were to get funkins now, i figure micheals would have them on sale after Thanksgiving but i really didn't see any a descent size. so where to get them want them for somthing to carve during winter months. also another random question is there any like clear fluid that makes stuff flurescent(sp) i have a a static jack in the box i want in my future funhouse haunt but really dont want to spray it with spray paint to get it seen.
i know these are both really odd questions, but any help.

I got lucky after Halloween (don't remember the date) when Michael's decided to sell the remaining fake pumpkins they had (not Funkins) they were $2 or $3 each. Grabbed a bunch and the lady at the checkout said they'll be all gone by the afternoon. Sounded like this is a annual thing. If that date hasn't passed yet, perhaps a call to Michael's to request a heads up to when they will mark them down could help?

In regards to fluorescing paint: The clear fluorescing paint is fairly expensive - even compared the visible WildFire paint. Since I only have WildFire visible paint I painted up several of my props with it. Airbrushed under blacklight and only painted just enough to fluoresce good enough in the haunt. To my joy, it didn't change the original color scheme that much. I think because of the thin coats airbrushing gives you and I used corresponding fluorescing paint to the original color. Examples:

After painting fluorescent paint but in regular light:

I went a couple days before Halloween & got a few carve-able pumpkins 60% off. They were already out of the largest size. I don't think they carry them after October. Joann's has Funkins brands but not after October as well. Funkins has a website you can order from, but pricey.
