I heard on Rotting Flesh Radio a while back. What is in the haunt kit? I know it's got four horror movies, sfx and music cd's. What else? Thans. I thought of subscribing.

Look closely to make sure you are NOT signing up for anything with a monthly charge after they send you something nice at a great price.

I don't think you can sign up for that club without incurring the charge. It's a $9.99 monthly fee and they will NOT refund you. Search for the threads on here about it. Everyone (especially me is pretty pissed about it).

Yes, you can opt out. That's what I did when I noticed a reoccuring fee showing up every month. The $9.99 was fine, but, not a fee every month!

I subscribed, waited for my "Kit" to arrive and then called the Customer Support Line posted on thier site. Only charge I incurred was for the shipping. You need to catch them prior to 30 days after you place your order.

From what I remember, the kit included -

What movies were included?

Nightmare Castle, Creature From the Haunted Sea, Carnival of Souls and Atom Age Vampire. Classics? You decide! LOL!

I to am a victim of deceipt. I called them today after I finally noticed the recurring club charge and sure enough I got the same answer that you all did. Sorry we can't reverse the charges!
Do the math. You would have to order $100/mo. just to break even on the club charge. Now I don't know about everyone else but I don't celebrate halloween all year long so unless I buy $1,200 at halloween it's not worth it!
Per the other members suggestion I too will be contacting the better business bureau and filing a complaint.

I too felt scammed by the frightcatalogue and received a month charge before calling and having to cancel the monthly subscription. They said that when you request the free kit it explicitly says that you are also signing up for a monthly membership but there was nothing explicit about it, at least not back in October of last year when I requested the kit.

I'll tell you what bothered me the most: I had liked their facebook page and noticed that a facebook member posted a question on their wall regarding how they were worried about being charged for a monthly fee if they asked for the kit. In response, the facebook moderator of frightcatalogue simply said they had sent them a PM regarding the kit information. Why would they not post on their wall for all to see that "yes, you are signed up for a membership every month if you request the kit and will be charged $9.99" unless they didn't want people to know. *sigh*

They must not realize we are a tight-knit community and if you start burning us we get the word out. Hopefully we can keep others from having their wallet hit by this company.
