Hi Fellow Haunters,
I did a Mayan themed yard haunt this year, last year was Western, and some folks mentioned they wanted to see it so here it is. I'm still exhausted from Halloween and I finally got around to putting this video together to show this weekend. The more people that get to see it the better I feel, since I took it all down and it likely won't been seen again. I change themes year to year.
Hope you all like it?
Can you find all the "group buy" items from this year in it?

I loved the Mayan theme, ditto on '78 great idols and stonework. I give you a lot of credit for changing the theme every year that makes so much more work. I hope everyone who comes by appreciates it.
Boo!

Northrad enjoyed the video and your haunt a lot. You did a great job editing. I found the skelly routine at the beginning a clever way to get the kids' attention and hear the haunt rules. How did you come up with the audio track for it? I too would love info on the jungle soundtrack. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for the compliments everyone!
Ghost of Spookie,
I didn't even think of that? I absolutely cannot take credit for coming up with that clever skull routine with audio track. Glad you asked! I didn't bake that cake I just took it out of the oven put icing on it and cut out a piece.
Here is the story behind them--> (3) 3-Axis SkullTek Skulls For Sale
Funny thing that happened before my Haunt was that there was a third skull but I screwed up the setup and had to drop him from the routine at the last minute. Made it so the main voice was an unseen spirit.
The only part I can take credit for is repairing, preparing and presenting them in a way that worked with my Haunt. I painted them, added bodies and hats etc...oh and I screwed up the third skull ruining the trio -hehe
I'm still trying to learn about VSA (trial-by-fire) the software running that routine. Next year, I plan to get a better grip on VSA and for Christmas I'm going ask someone that loves me to buy me a copy some of MonkeyBasic's software to make it easier to work with VSA so I can change the routine up for next year.
Hopefully, I can figure out both and come up with a newer idea. Finally, I'd like to commission Chris Baker of Hauntcast to voice talent that routine for next year.
Awful news about Hauntcast by the way, did you all visit the site lately?

Where did I get the Mayan sounds? Music and Sounds can make or break a Haunt. Am I right?
I got lucky!
Heck, after you asked, I had to search where I got them because it was back in the Spring when I decided I wanted to do a Mayan theme and then I hunted the internet for any audio that i could use and it was near impossible.
I was going to bail on the Mayan theme but then I found some in online videos found on YouTube etc... that put me on the scent...
The music was not from any specific soundtrack(s) that I had?
It's stripped from some non-commercial Mayan online stream videos to which posters identified it as pulled audio from vacationeer recordings in Xcaret, Mexico. They have lots of live cultural performances there and that's where they came from. They don't identify to any licensing or copyrights that I have found but the recordings sound great. I've have even used song identification software in case and nothing turns up.
Let me know, if you want them and I'd be happy to send you what I have.
