Ghost of Spookie... My parents are a big part of my interest in doing yard haunts and being 31yrs old they still help out in anyway.. It goes throughout my whole back yard and i use every inch of it..I will be posting the Dusk, Day version Tommorrow, am all done with the video editing..
I Do have alot of halloween props. My house is about 3500 sq feet with a decent size backyard. i have been collecting for about 18yrs, and trying my hand in making my own props. I have 2 storage units i use to store everything. I live in Southern California city called Upland.
I ran my Haunt for 3days. On Sat was a walkthrough with lights and sounds, No fog or actors. It was more for the little kids to see the detail work and to see if they would be brave enough for the actually haunt. Sun & Mon was the full blown event with all the live actors. They really helped me out this year!
With my haunt, it takes up my whole front yard with the graveyard portion. I live in a very good community and i have never had a problem with theft. Everyone i assume knows am doing this for my community, the little kids and charity. I ask all the actors to keep an eye on things to make sure no one was acting "shady". I had a max of 5 people go through the ahunr at one time , cause i wanted to make sure everyone in the group got scared. I had about 3500 people walk through my haunt in the 3 days and rasied about $2,000 for charity.
I dont have any roof top pictures and i wanted to take some before i put the jute netting roof on. but never got around to it. To see it in person was ten time better to see through video, i have an old camera, i wish i had an HD video camera.
If you had anyomre questions let me know, ill be happy to answer them!!
Between the world we see and the things we fear, there are doors. When they are opened, nightmares become reality.
