I went onto bgmicro and saw they had these for sale. For only 50 cents I bought 30. They only have 288. Just a heads up if you happened to be looking for any. http://www.bgmicro.com/LED1054.aspx

I bought some of those with nothing in mind for them two seasons ago (for $1.25 each if I recall). While thinking of how to present my Swirling Vortex, it came to me: A Star Gate. The vortex is aimed at the back of the Star Gate, and these LED's light up around the Star Gate. I control them with a LightoRama DC board which is perfect for them. I have the red and green chase around the gate, and when the green are all on, I have the Vortex start. Here a a couple of bad pictures to give you an idea of what I'm trying to explain. I am buying a few for backup. Also, this season AllElectronics had them in Orange. A little expensive if I recall. I thought They would be good to have around. Thanks for the heads up on these!

I ordered ten of them and they were in the mail and at my door in three days. Now I'm going to Home Depot to pick-up connections so I can see just how bright they are. It states on the paper sent with it that they are powered by 12 to 15 volts and draw 90mA when both sets of LEDs are hooked up can't wait to see. Thanks for the info.

Got mine in today. They are bright if you look directly at them but they don't put off that much light at 12vdc when pointing at an object.

I got mine too, they're not super bright but they will be fine for my intended use which is accent lighting. The green seems brighter but more of a washed out green. The red isn't really bright but definitely will accent what you point it at.
I have yet to try them @15V like Deadview mentions in his post. I'd like to see if they're significantly brighter.Boo!
