The focus of this year's haunt is an interactive Frankenstein lab. I utilized a Boo Box 4 as well as several types of switches. A dimmer controls the X-ray machine, two switches (including a giant knife switch) control two main scenes. Another controls an air solenoid which delivers a burst of air from the overhead light. The TOT's loved this "busy box."
Pretty much everything in the lab is authentic. My resources include: an electrician, plumber, welder, chemist, farmer, policeman, nurse, and medical device sales rep. When I started building the lab, my dad invited me to look in his barn for supplies. Almost everything in the scene including knife switches and flasks, came from the barn. With resources like these, who needs eBay?

Too fun! Loved the skele trying to keep the monster from coming out of the coffin, the spider vitim (hee!), as well as the Monster Building for Dummies book (double hee!). The quilt is amazing beautiful.
So, did the air cannon button scare a lot of kids? Bet that was fun for you to watch

Beautiful home! Those columns are stunning. The lab idea is so cool!

Thanks for the kind words. The columns were inspired by Raven Manor. The Kicking Legs by Scary Terry. Much of the lab scene was inspired by the original Frankenstein movie as well as Stelter Creations. The book, "Monster Building For Dummies" contains sketches, notes, pictures, and a FAQ section. I thought it may be useful since I'M NEVER HOME FOR HALLOWEEN (we have 4 small children to take TOTing). The air blast from the overhead light fixture seemed to be the biggest scare - especially for the adults.

Awesome job!!!
I loved your lab too. I am very jealous of people with tech abilities as they seems to completely elude me!
Nothing beats a haunted moonlit night on
