Wish I would have asked this under the "Do You Remove Your Batteries" thread I started, but do you also mark your props somehow to indicate when the manufacturer specifically says "don't use rechargeable batteries inside" and do you follow it?
I try to keep my props in their original packaging, but over the years you know how that goes. Also like to put my stuff in tubs and many times easier for storage to toss the boxes and sometimes the battery requirements on the packaging along with it.
We've been buying more rechargeable batteries lately and I asked my husband about this. He said it could make a difference in the operation of a device. Is hubby right? If so thinking maybe of using a dot of nail polish to "mark" battery doors of props to indicate this requirement.

Never thought that much about it, but certainly couldn't hurt to mark those props specifically.
