The ToT count was lower due to churches and the city holding Trunk and Treat events. The people that did come were incredible and totally made up for it. An 80 yr. old woman declared it the best Halloween experience of her life, loved that. The kids and preteens were nothing but entertaining. I was ready to call it quits for doing so much work when it looked like low turn out but it got much, much better! I'm good at least for another year and my neighbor said she's going to really up her game next year The weather was perfect and the smoke awesome making a Happy Halloween.

SR! You've heard it so many times before but it bears repeating; truly one of the most awe inspiring displays ever! Hands down! The detail, layering, color saturation, lighting, prop placement..all simply magnificent. Love the comment about the elderly woman and her compliment. I know she meant it! Stunning as always!
Americans sleep peacefully in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Seriously, Spider Rider! Wow, just Wow! Your photos are cinematic. The props are mindblowing in looks, detailing and setting. If I lived in your area I would camp out to see it! Does the Sacramento Bee or whatever other newspapers and any TV stations in your area know of your haunt?? They should. Send them some of your photos and if you are up and running next year, they need to do a story on you. Stupid Trunk or Treaters....look at what you missed looking at someone's trunk carpeting!!!

BTW, i don't know what kind of construction was used and if you store any of this, but someone out there who does a professional haunt would probably love to have your settings if they were available. This is better than amusement park quality. Your work is so amazing.

Legendary, simply legendary. When you say you had a low TOT count, I wonder what a low number is for you.
When storage is a concearn, put your monster props under the kids beds.

I say the church events are geared toward the average leaving the exceptional folks to come visit. I'm not kidding at how interested and entertaining the people were who did come. I felt very happy by the end of the night.

I'm a cameraman for one of the TV stations and have put my haunt on a couple of years ago.

I would guess 100 kids but I really wasn't counting because it was so entertaing watching and listening to all of the reactions and comments.
The neighborhood had a much younger demo 5 years ago so everyone has moved on now and fewer folks decorate.

Up until this year it was a cheap point and shoot HP. My daughter is taking a photography class at high school so I comandeered her Canon EOS for these shots. Some were 30 second exposures so the color is way exagerated and much brighter than in person.
