Is it me or did Target have a lousy selection this year of Halloween props etc. they usually have videos a bunch of kid theme stuff and some decent low cost props.

Target has gone downhill over the past few years IMO. I scored a pair of nice gargoyles this year but they had littl else except the usual tableware and costumes. Sadly, a trend with other retailers that used to have a decent Halloween selection too.
Americans sleep peacefully in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Agreed. I went to Target at 8:30 am tuesday morning and the only good stuff they had was a few fog timers and some Funkin type pumpkins. I ended up getting several kitchen/house type items for our house and like 2 things for myself.
I went to WalMart, Walgreens, Kmart all the same morning and they all stunk. Absolutely nothing worth buying....It was a little disappointing. We were at Big Lots over the weekend and they really had nothing special either.....

Yeah, the only thing I got from Target this year was a black light spotlight. Everything else was more of the same as they've had for the past few years. Hope things turn around next year.

I wasn't that impressed this time around, either. They had a few items that I had to have, but I mainly picked them up on clearance just a couple of days before Halloween, since I couldn't see paying full-price. IMO, most places were a bit disappointing this year, honestly.

The only thing I had to have was the skeleton salad servers, and I bought those regular price since I wanted to actually use them this year. They had a bubble fogger left for clearance, but refused to sell it to me because it had a red sticker on it that meant it had "been to guest services" either as defective or a return. It was a return - unused - and I got to the register and they told me I couldn't have it

It's a bit late for this year's clearance, but if you do find something, or find something after Christmas, etc, double check it for any red tags and pull them off!! When I called corporate to complain they basically admitted that would have worked unless it's a serial-tracked item (i.e. GoPhones).

*Raises hand* Me, um, three! I was happy to find them there because they were far more reasonable than similar ones at places like Pottery Barn.
Otherwise, I bought a couple of candles, and the husband picked up a couple of craft pumpkins (better price than Michael's that particular week), Overall, Target was pretty weak this year. For better or worse, we usually spend a lot more money there.

To me it was the worse of the lack of halloween among all the retailers.
