You hit the nail on the head. This is exactly how my family feels once it's up and running.

I started and still do it because my own kids almost 5 and almost 8 years old love it!
I love that my kids are not affraid of some of the things that can go bump in the night, they see how those things are made and aren't affraid.
I enjoy that my kids friends get the "cool house" comments.
I do it because I enjoy building things with my mind and my hands.
I hope that some of the ToT'ers remember when they get their own place and they want to do something like in their memories?
I enjoy the "How did you do that?" questions.
I appreciate the "thank you" comments from my neighbors.
and I do it because its fun! (and a host of many other reasons).

I have always loved Halloween and spent many a year knocking on doors when I was a TOT with my carrier bag then heading off home at then end of the night with my sister and her friend and we'd put everything on ther floor and share it up ... I do it to give something back for all the years of enjoyment i had as a youngster. I never went to a house that was decorated. At the very most there may have had the odd pumpkin . I want to give the TOTs and their parents something to remember from their night knocking on doors. It's not a very big event in the UK and I'm pretty sure that our house was the only one with a nini haunt or even decorated in the whole village. People would turn up and say oh somebody told me we had to come up to your house as it was great I didnt get everything done but the looks on people faces and their kind remarks made all the blood and tears worthwhile. Next year will be bigger and better. I have my reputation to uphold now lol

And I blame some of you for it lol....My job list was HUGE this year, I will have to stop coming on here lol
    the beast walks amongst us
