Did any of you come across any strange or unusual candy on Halloween night? Here are a few shots of some I came across....

Bombi edible crayon.... I think it was gum?

    Nasty one:

    Stop light sucker:

    Strange sugar rods?

Finally... It looks like a witch made this one to poison the ToTers!!!!

    Post some of yours!

With the exception of the sugar rods (?), everything else looks like candy we see when we go down to our vacation home in Troncones, Mexico. Is that Spanish I see on some of the packaging? I bet they came from a mercado!

The sugar sticks are like the candy cigarettes we had as kids...the others IDK! Hope you tossed them, altho I'm curious what they tasted like.

The sugar sticks are just that, and the rest is all candy from Mexico. The so called "turd on a stick" is a traditional candy that is made up of sugar and savory spices (paprika, cumin, etc) and usually coupled with citrus flavors. Nothing wrong with someone sharing the traditional candies from their own nationality. Not IMO anyway.

The crayon and stoplight are also both Mexican candies, as seen by the Spanish writing on their wrapping. Likely bought at one of the hundreds, maybe thousands of Hispanic stores there in Southern Cal. There are many such stores here in Idaho, and though I am not Hispanic myself, I frequent them often because I love the fresh Mexican food they provide, as well as the variety of different Mexican beers they offer.

Well that sounds good. I'm all about spices. I just saw the opportunity to say "turd on a stick". Haha. I just think poop is really funny. Sorry to offend

You didn't offend me at all. I was just trying to give a little explanation to an odd looking treat in hopes to give credit to who ever may have been handing them out. Honestly, I dislike the flavor of the stuff.

And... I agree. Poop can be funny.

I was thinking of a miniature corndog, but I can see the resemblance to that, too

I remember the 'candy sticks', but they used to be 'cigarettes', if I recall correctly

Oh man, that was my favorite candy when I was a kid--Candy cigarettes! YUM!
Those sticks they sell now don't taste anywhere near as good as the old candy cigarettes.

Maybe that thing is a chicken nugget on a stick. Did it come with barbecue sauce??
