    Hi everyone!

Hopefully, Halloween was a good time for most, if not all.

Great weather this year and the turnout was huge. Always get a kick out of how much fun the parents end up having cause, you know, the kids are always right into it.

No major additions this year, just a couple of props to the left of the front door and some tweaking here and there.

You'll note bright little blue lights strewn about the ground in the cemetery. Those are the little high-powered LED lights that were such a hit around here last year. After a wee bit of educating myself on this awesome forum, I hardwired about 25 of them off of a main trunk coming off a power supply - similar to a PC power supply - that I've stored in a Rubbermaid container. This is the 2nd season I've had them outside for about three weeks, in all sorts of weather, including snow. At this point, about 20 of the are still functioning like new. Really, really like the way the project turned out, although it was quite laborious. Plan to replace the burnt out lights next season.

    Well worth the effort.

Broad view of the haunt on Sunday night.

Do come on in...everything will be fine.

The night watchman keeps an eye on visitors to the cornfield.

(It's actually sorghum. I get it from a local farm and buy one of their apple pies as payment. The key is that, unlike corn, I don't end up hosting a squirrel convention.)

The reapers seem keen to have you visit the cemetery...

...although, you'd be well-advised to ignore their nefarious invitation...

...cause you'll never be able to leave, try as you might.

PermaPumpkins™. New this year. The usual plastic witch's cauldron, dremeled, glue mache, flat black spray paint outside, glossy white inside, dry-brushed orange latex, and a thick coat of spar urethane. They feel like plastic and will last forever.

All the pics in a slideshow here: http://s127.photobucket.com/albums/p...loween%202011/

    Cheers!

    JD

Beautiful pics of a great haunt! Fantastic lighting! Love the cob webs. Most excellent!

    A sincere thanks, gents.

One of these days, I should upload the soundtrack that loops throughout the night. My sound engineer and film editor bro put it together; it is over-the-top unsettling and just downright frightening.
