Anyone else having an issue with dogs?
We had a TON! of people bringing dogs this year. I can understand wanting to bring your dog and all, but I had to turn down a couple folks who wanted to walk big dogs through the haunt. (the little purse dogs are a whole other discussion)
I have NOTHING against dogs. I love dogs. We actually bred dogs that won dog shows when I was little. I've trained big dogs and entered them in competitions myself. I get they can be 'well behaved'.
What I can't predict is how that dog reacts when the owner gets scared, or something scares the dog. (nor can I predict what might scare the dog)
This has been building the last few years, in fact. More and more kids with dogs. Fortunately THIS year all dogs were attached to parents, but we've had little kids walking dogs 3 times their size in the past.
Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions how to better handle it?

Problem no....but I saw it too. Luckily nobody tried to walk their's through the yard.
My neighbor let their German Shepard out in their back yard for a minute cuz he had to take care of business...well he freaked and came charging at the fence barking and showing his pearly whites...best scare of the night. So considering how easy going he usually is, being concerned about dogs in haunts is justified

I had one come in but only a few feet because he tripped the jumping spider. Scared the crap out of it and refused to go in further so the owners stood outside. Im nervous of the same reasons you all mentioned but also unpleasant is it defecating/peeing in fear, or attacking my prop.
