I'm teleworking today and all of a sudden I start hearing this RAWWRRR RAWWRRR sound. Couldn't figure out what it was until I realized that I had one of those huanted hedge thingies in a MIB crate out front and it was going off due to an F-16 buzzing the neighborhood.

I used to get that when I was stationed at NAS Meridian. I bet the same thing happens down in the Nellis AFB area, but I'm way south of their flight area!

We had a P-3C from NAS Jacksonville in the bounce pattern doing touch & go's for about an hour of the tot period. You can hear him flying over the house over and over again on the videos we took. I remember being the poor guy sitting in the back of that plane for hours, so I felt bad for them.

I was a surface sailor, but lived at a number of NAS locations. Corpus Christi was loud with the MH-53 helos, but the EA-6 Prowlers were probably the worst up at NAS Whidbey Island!
But I guess living around LM-2500 shipboard gas turbine engines is no different...

Ha! My 1 year old screamed so loud last week she activated a motion sensor prop and shattered a wine glass (true story).
