Trying to rush around and finish my last minute projects...I had a minor run in with my miter saw....and I think I lost. Needless to say, I missed Halloween this year, but got a new prop for next year. Learned a lot of valuable lessons: 1) Do not use miter saws with no guard, 2) Do not rush to get stuff done, 3) DO NOT USE MITER SAWS WITH NO GUARDS. 200 stitches later I'm thankful to be here. Hopefully next year I will be able to put my haunt together safely without rushing around.

OUCH that looks terrible! Sorry you missed it but glad that you are okay dispite the 200 stitches! Take it easy!

Wow.... as a professional woodworker I've witnessed too many of these accidents. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not use tools without the proper safety guards. I've seen many TALENTED people now handicapped and that talent lost. Thank goodness it wasn't worse. All the best for a speedy recovery.

Ouch. Glad your going to be ok. I almost had a mishap with my miter saw this year. Could have taken my thumb off. Thankfully my thumb. Was spared. Get well soon

um...just some friendly advice...DO NOT USE A MITER SAW WITHOUT GUARDS ON IT!
Jeez, I'm glad you're ok! Wow.
In future, Do not use a miter saw without guards on it! (Of course, if i was your wife, i'd prolly ban you from anything sharper than a spork after this sccare! )

note to self, keep the gore on the props and not on yourself... glad you are ok, that had to hurt.
