I've been notcing for the last two years a pattern. About 4:30 till dark- slow pace of mostly little ones with parents and strollers. About 7pm till maybe 9pm, if I'm lucky it goes that long, is the bulk of the older teens who come out after dark. Droves of people come after dark. Guess I have a rep now- go after dark. But really- two little hours or so of fun, and 20 hours or so of back breaking setup and clean up! But considering how many didn't get to have a halloween because of weather and power outages, I feel very lucky to have such a good night.

About 6:00 till 9:00 is prime time here

Usually it's earlier here, but last night it was likely 7:30 to 8:30. And most of the kids we got earlier - 6:00 to 6:30 - were teenagers. Not many little guys last night.

We had a few come around 6-6:30 ish, but it really broke loose around 7:30 when it got really dark. It came to a screaching halt about 9:20. It was eerie - one minute the street was full of both pedestrians and cars, kids were laughing, some were yelling, and then suddenly.......... nothing. The street was empty and silent. Fortunately, it coincided with us running out of candy. I love it when things work out just right!

7:30 to 8:00 is killer for us. Our front driveway was like a stroller parking lot and 'lanes' were forming going to/from the door.

lol @ 20 hours.....

C'mon man. We started in JULY!!! And.... the Props forum was chocked full of people building stuff when I found this place. My wife and I had to have spent over 100 hours each in the garage this summer, and I wont add the couple of evenings my mom and aunt spent with us slinging paper mache... and then OCTOBER hit. Respectively to most others around here, we are merely rookies who just scratched the surface.
We got our first ToT'r at 7:10 and our last one just before 9. Every second spent preparing for that sub two hour moment was golden to me. I loved it all.
79 ToT's for us. Most ever by a long shot. Worth every second.

Around 6 till 7:30 that was it. We didn't get any after 7:30 but it seemed like we got alot of groups. I was waiting for more after 7:30 and was kinda dissappointed. I am always dissapointed when the last TOT comes cause you look so forward to it and can't believe it is over.

ToTing is usually from 6 (for the little ones) to at the latest 8:30pm. That is standard for most Canadian cities I believe.
Prime time is 6:45 to 8:00. The ToTers come in groups, I would have 8 or 10 on my verandah at a time.
I just don't understand why any kid would be ToTing before folks got home from work - 4:30? really? We always went after dinner as soon as the street lights came on.

The stroller crowd started about 6:30, then the walkers started showing up about 7:00. We had mostly walkers from the neighborhood from 7:00 to 8:00 or so, but then they went home and called their friends, and we started getting the driven ones from 9:00 to 10:00. That's also when we started getting a lot of traffic from people who had heard about our house and drove over to check it out, take pictures, ask questions, etc.

The younger ones start about 530-6 then the heavy traffic goes from 7-830-9, with this year TOTers coming beyond 10!
