Find a moment today, and remember.

You might open the door, and catch a waft of woodsmoke while bright leaves tumble by.
Out in the haunt, a stake from a prop will pull up a clot of earth with that deep, dark scent.
It might be when a mob of kids runs screaming and laughing to your door, and the sound of their feet, on the walk, on the street.
Or when the smell of popcorn, cookies, greasepaint, or casting rubber hits your nose.

Or when you tear open the bag, the candy smell comes up all around you.

The opening titles could come up, with that music, or when you flip past that station on cable, the line from a movie you almost forgot, the smile comes unbidden.

Maybe when you step back across the street tonight, and see all your work lit up in front of you.

At some point today, together or alone, find a moment, and remember.

We've been trying to view our house from a distance every evening.

    Great post!

A wonderful thought. And time to be extra nice, extra friendly, extra scary, and hand out lots of candy! And maybe eat a piece. Or three.

Last night, I got to enjoy the smell of fresh cut pumpkin and tonight I'll get the same feeling when I smell burning pumpkin. Love it!

I'm doing it right now. The butterflys are awake and partying in my stomach.
